Refueling on coconut water in Bangkok

Refueling on coconut water in Bangkok

Over the weekend, I added a Best Of page to the blog which you can find at the top of the site.

I culled together my best material on the following topics:

  • Planning and Advice – most popular and useful posts on trip planning
  • Adventures – my most adrenaline-filled and exciting moments from the last 20 months
  • Food and Drink – favorite meals, including links to all the places where Tony Bourdain was also known to have eaten
  • Blogging – helpful tips
  • Miscellaneous – random topics like the 5 Reasons Why I Travel

If you’re new to the GoBackpacking, check it out.  It was fun to read some of my older posts from 2007 before I began traveling.  Sometimes it feels like blogging is still very new to me, even though I’ve been doing it steadily for the last 2 1/2 years!

Love that photo, it makes me really miss those roadside stalls with fruit and drinks. I developed a real habit at stopping at every second sugar water stall, well maybe not that bad.

Nothing beats a freshly cracked coconut! And it’s healthy too. :)

Haha … I’m a little too old for backpacking anymore. But I enjoyed reading some of your articles. I’m glad that there are still young people who have a spirit of adventure in them. I still travel, but kind of go by taxi and hotel rooms these days … lol. Good luck on your trips and be safe.

That is a ton of useful information! Thanks for putting it all together. Soon very soon we will be back to the land of the coconut. It has been far too long

That picture with the coconut gave me instant pangs of longings to get back to SEA and I only left four months ago! The pic just sent me instantly back to Khao San Rd :-)
