Oookay. So here we go. My name's Jonathan Lee, I'm heading to Europe for the summer of 2001. I just graduated from Drexel University with a degree in Film. (so you know I've got a huge future)
Anyhoot, I've been prepping for my trip with the help of gobackpacking.com and its administrators. Scouring the net for deals on airfare and rail passes, shopping for comfortable shoes and socks and trying to get a feel for per diem's and an itinerary.
What I've managed to do so far is book my flight, buy my rail pass and confuse myself enormously. So I figure I'm ahead of the game.
I leave June 20th from BWI with a connecting flight through Newark. I'll land in Gatwick, London at 11PM that night. From there I'm destined to make a whole mess of mistakes.
Can't wait.
I've only got about a week left, but I'm gonna spare you the mundane details. Needless to say, each day that passes causes my stomach to drop just that much further.
So, while I don't have any famous last words- I don't think I'll be needing them just yet.
