A big part of Cape Town's exotic appeal rests in the natural geography upon which the city developed.
Situated along the southwestern tip of the African continent, it has ocean views, beaches, and stunning mountains which can be climbed in dozens of different ways.

Beautiful photos and they really gave me a sense of the size of the place.
South Africa has been at the top of my must-see list ever since I saw a tourism advertisement for it years ago. These pictures reminded me how much I need to figure out a plan to actually make it there!
I miss Cape Town sooooooo badly! Thanks for bringing me back there, even if only for a brief moment! Gorgeous pics!!!
Ave MarÃa, I bet the rockclimbing there is phenomenal! Beautiful photos Dave, thanks for sharing.
What truly stunning photographs Dave- they are are sure to promote Cape Town tourism amongst those who follow your exploits. Prospective visitors for the World Cup 2010 should be aware that the media are saying that accommodation in Cape Town has become more affordable as the date for the World Cup approaches, so review your travel budget and do it now.
What really stunned me at first glance..was the how nature abounds in Cape Town. In the first picture for example, there is the disarming stillness of the Table Mountain, and the water. This stillness overrules the bustle of the city. That is beautiful.
Thanks for sharing, of course.
