Delhi has a humid subtropical climate at an elevation of about 1,043 feet (318 meters) above sea level. Due to its proximity to the Himalayas, the summers are scorching, with temperatures peaking at an average of 100 F (38 C).

The best time to visit Delhi is from October to March, when the weather is at its best. Foggy winters are a trademark of Delhi's weather.
